California Proposition 65 Warning

In order to inform our California customers, we are including the following Proposition 65 warning for our protein cookie products:

WARNING: Consuming this product can expose you to chemicals including [lead and cadmium], which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

Proposition 65 is a California-specific “right-to-know” law, not a food safety regulation. We want to assure you that we are committed to delivering products that are safe and meet rigorous quality standards. Lead and cadmium, as with many naturally occurring elements, can be present in the soil and absorbed by plants as they grow. Factors such as soil type, region, and growing conditions can all influence the levels of these elements.

We are continually working with our ingredient suppliers to ensure we source the cleanest and highest-quality ingredients possible. The health and safety of our customers remain our top priority.
